The cottage is situated between Crook of Devon and Cleish on the B9097. It is just 5 minutes drive from junction 5 of the M90 motorway north of Edinburgh.

If arriving by car take Jn 5 from the motorway along the B9097 towards Crook of Devon. After about 3 miles there is a chicken farm (low sheds) on the left followed by a sign for "Threapmuir Farm". Half a mile past this take a drive on the left marked by two large trees. Proceed straight down the drive to the original farm buildings at the end. (Do not take the right hand fork off the drive to the new house that can be seen from the road).

Alternatively if arriving from the West follow the signs for Kincardine Bridge. Head straight over all junctions towards the A977 signed Kinross, Powmill/Crook of Devon. At the Crook of Devon take the right hand turn (B9097) at the Shell Petrol Station. After about 2 miles there is a staggered crossroads (left to Coldrain, right to Aldie). Just after this there is a drive on the right hand side marked by two large trees at the end. Proceed all the way down the drive to the original farm buildings at the end.
