Explorer pass is excellent value if you like visiting castles. Linlithgow Palace was by far our favourite attraction. Lovely parkland with walk around the Loch. The Canal basin is picturesque and a nice spot for a cup of tea. We also enjoyed trips out ot the Royal Yacht Britannia and the Falkirk Wheel. If you enjoy shopping try the Almondvale shopping mall and designer outlet at Livingston. Top tip - if taking the boat out to Loch Leven Castle don't forget your waterproof!

Such a lovely cottage, especially with the fire burning in the evening. The Falkirk Wheel was a good place to visit for an hour or so and the canal boat trip gives you an excellent view of the surrounding area. Dollar Glen is a very picturesque area, although the walk up to Castle Campbell is slightly hard work and would not be push chair friendly. However, if you just want to visit the castle there is a car park a short distance away at the top of the hill. Falkland Palace was our favourite place. There was plently to see and just enough garden to explore. If you go to Edinburgh, the Dynamic Earth was great value for money and a good indoor attraction if the weather is not too bright and dry.

The cottage is ideal as a base for the surrounding area and very homely.

What a lovely place to spend our first Christmas together. The cottage is great, has everything you need and a central base to explore this gorgeous part of the world. The fire adds to the festive feel at this time of year. Thanks for pointing out some places to visit - Dollar Glen, Edinburgh, St Andrews and Scotlandwell were all great places to see. Hopefully we'll be back.

What a fantastic place. The fire was great and we really enjoyed toasting the New Year together in the sticks away from reality.
April 2007
What a lovely peaceful place to relax and get away from it all. Lovely rustic cottage which comes to life at night with the open fire lit and the lights off. There is plenty to do, if you want to! We relaxed mostly, but can recommend Dunfermline for a day out, with plenty of historical attractions, lots of shops and a lovely park to relax in. The Fife coastal route to St Andrews is a lovely drive with plenty of award winning beaches and charming little villages. It is worth noting that there is the opportunity to take a trial flight in a glider at Portmoak (just past Scotlandwell), only available on a Monday or Tuesday (weather permitting). All in all, a great "wee cottage" in a good location for touring and visiting, with a warm welcome guaranteed.
August 2007
The cottage is based in a convenient location and is easy access to most places. It is ideal for exploring places such as Fort William and the Highlands.
However, the best aspect of the cottage is the cottage itself. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, away from the city life. There is everything you would expect from a comfortable accommodation. However, we would hugely recommend lighting the fire as that is very romantic indeed.
We would recommend the cottage to famiy and friends and are sure that the next couple to visit will have a great time like we did.
September 2007
The cottage was very cosy and comfortable and extremely quiet. The location was very good and we spent a very enjoyable week visiting lots of different areas including Loch Katherine and also the Cairngorns. Evenings were spent having barbecues and relaxing in the cottage. I would definately recommend the cottage to others.
October 2007
A haven with a warm and friendly family welcome. A place of solitude but with many wonderful places to visit and things to see. A most enjoyable place to bide a while...
