Following feedback and as a general updating campaign we've been very busy!!

Out are the old TV tables and in came a new dining table and chairs as requested. As previous guests will appreciated space is at a premium, so these can be put away when not in use. We are also trying to source some "nice" lap trays for those TV moments.

 Talking of TV's this has had to be replaced (yes we do know who broke it - hence the new requirement for deposits!!). We now have a newer flat screen model with integral DVD player.

My personal favourite from a cleaning aspect. A fond farewell to the gas hob and electric oven and an enthusiastic hello to the ceramic hob and new oven. This with the new tiled splashback is looking very smart (time to update the photos on the website too!)

Now to the bathroom. A brand tiled floor with underfloor heating, a new towel rail and extractor fan. Very smart and warm. And to those of you who have had problems with the extra fan heater put in last winter there is a trip switch in the cupboard. Guests have been turning it off in there hence we've had trouble getting it to work!

 Work will hopefully be done soon on the fireplace. I am toying with replacing it with a wood burning stove that will make the cottage very toasty indeed but need to check dimensions etc first. Failing that the fireplace and chimney will be re-built to try (again) to recrify the smoke in windy weather problem.
